This is a year long thesis project in which I chose a three story building in Madison, WI. The address is 301 S Blount Street and is currently being used as leasable office spaces. With the location of the site being near three apartment buildings, downtown Madison, a bike trail, and a beach, I thought this location could benefit from a coffee shop and an advertising agency. My clients were the Grace Coffee Company and the Concept Company. The first floor became the cafe space along with a leasable retail space and the top two floors became the flexible office spaces for the Concept Company. With collaboration in mind, these spaces were created as a open workspace to promote creativity.

Render 3-1 shows the third floor production area as well as some of the lounge seating and some flexible breakout spaces within the space.
Render 3-2 shows more of the third floor flexible seating that focuses on collaboration.
Render 3-3 shows the other flexible breakout spaces that are found on the third floor of this space.
Render 2-1 shows one of the small conference rooms found on the second floor of this space, we can also see the principle office in the top right as well as a small breakout space across from the conference room.
Render 2-2 shows the reception desk, this is where clients can go to be directed to one of the conference rooms or to the office. There is also some lounge seating across from this desk to the left and to the right are display walls that will show the companies old and new projects.
Render 2-3 shows the assigned workstations that can be found on the second floor. If someone needs a more quiet space to work or does not want to use some of the flex seating within the space, they will have an assigned desk that they can call their own. These desks also have shelving and lockers found on the ends so that the employees can lock up their belongings if need be.
Render 1-1 shows the cafe seating in the back right corner of the space. There are some two person tables as well as some lounge seating and banquette seating along the wall. There are some open room dividers in this space so the booth seating in the corner feels more private but still open.
Render 1-2 shows the custom coffee bar that is similar to the ones found in Grace Coffee Companies. There is some more banquette seating on this side of the cafe. You can also see the pick up shelving for mobile orders as well as their pastry case.
Render 1-3 shows more of an overall view of the space. It shows the three person seating as well as some counter height seating, a six person table, and the service window that opens up to the kitchen.
